After upgrade to 4.7.1. subscription not working

Hi,

I reckon that there have been problems with version 4.7.0. so I have upgraded again to 4.7.1.
But still subscription is not working anymore. Whilst the shortcode form gives a 404 error on http://www.domain.de/wp-content/plugins/newsletter/do/subscribe.php (and the folder “do” does NOT exist in the plugin directory – not even in the manually downloaded one), the form in the widget (which has to be restyled because apparently styles have been changed by you) is working but needs reeaaallyyyy long to load the confirmation message.

Honestly I am not sure what to do… where is the missing “do” folder? Should there be one?
Is 4.7.1. a stable version?
