Hi,
I am building an e-commerce store and my main concern, seo-wise, are duplicate contents. I have already installed yoast free version. In the next days I wil buy the premium version.
By setting up ajax filters a lot of duplicate pages will show up. Ajax filters are a little tricky because they shouldn’t be seen by spiders, but according to different opinions, this is not always the case and there is a chance that google spider indexes them and this will result in the website being penalised for duplicate content.
From the settings of the yoast free plugin I can set canonical or no-index to pages, product pages, archives, tags…what about filters? How can I manage them with the plugin? Is there a special feature provided in the premium version to set canonical or noindex to urls resulting from filters?
I am looking forward to your reply
kind regards
manuela
