Migrate Category to Subdomain in WP

Hello guys,

On my main site, each category will be transformed into a subcategory. Then all posts in a category will be migrated to their respective subdomain, for example:

mysite.com/category1 ==> will become ==> category1.mysite.com
mysite.com/category2 ==> will become ==> category2.mysite.com
mysite.com/category3 ==> will become ==> category3.mysite.com

With this I need to do exports of posts separated by categories, that is, I need to export and import all posts from only a certain category.

I was trying to do this with the next WP exporter. But when importing the posts, images are not imported.

I was trying to do this with the Export and Import from WP itself because of the WP Export function and I have how to select to export only Post and then select a single Category. This will generate an xml file of all Posts from a single category.

But the problem with these WP functions is that the generated xml file does not contain the prominent picture URLs of the posts. Then when importing the file into the subdomain, the posts are published correctly (text, links, images within the text, date of publication, views, …), however, the featured images of posts are not migrated.

I do not know why these WP functions do not migrate highlights images. But anyway … I’m looking for a plugin solution. I’ve seen some like WP All Export, Duplicator, NS Cloner and others, but it looks like they all copy the entire site, and I need them to copy only posts from a single Category.

Then I thought of Feed plugin as this FeedWordpress plugin. So I installed and tried to post all posts from a single category on the main site, for example:

I used the Feed of the category proddigital.com.br/educa (http://proddigital.com.br/educa/feed/) to publish all the posts in the new site educacao.proddigital.com.br. But I only managed to do two ways of publishing desss posts:

– the posts are not published in the new site (educacao.proddigital.com.br). They appear only on the category page and when I click on any of them, I’m redirected to the source post (proddigital.com.br/educa/post-origem). But it’s not what I need!

– the posts are published, but only the beginning of the text, and in the end shows a link to the post source. But it’s not what I need either!

What I need is to publish the entire text, with all the original formatting (links, images in the text, featured image, videos …).

Can your plugin get what I need?

I thank you.
Rodrigo
