I have a Tumblr website where I have a large number of Photos posts that include an image, an image URL (which links to the full-res photos hosted elsewhere), and tags. After setting up a fresh WordPress install and using the importer plugin, I ran into these two issues:
First, all of my photos (which are singular in Tumblr) were imported as galleries in WordPress. I found another thread that also describes this problem but I’m not sure if the solution suggested is correct: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/single-images-are-imported-as-a-gallery-fix/
Secondly, the URL for all of my photos was not imported by WordPress. Again, I tried searching these forums and found this: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/plugin-tumblr-importer-need-to-retrieve-the-linkurl-associated-with-each-post/. Similar to my first question, I’m not sure if the code in that thread is appropriate to use, or if I should be trying to modify the plugin at all.
Any help in solving the above two issues would be hugely appreciated. Thank you for your time.
