We will be moving fundraisingideas.org.nz to WordPress and need category functionality.
The location needs to be a district or area (see how we use locations currently on our website), rather than a specific street address.
I.e. a fundraising activity might be suitable for a city (eg Auckland, NZ), or a district (eg Waikato, NZ). We need 2 distinct classes of category – one for fundraising type, and the other for fundraising region
What directory listing plugin or theme would you use?
This needs to be able to list each member by 2 categories – both by type of fundraiser AND by location (many directory listing plugins and themes only allow a single category)
And can it import our full database? (we can supply as MSAccess or Xcel).

On their site you can select the type of thing you’re looking for in categories, and also filter by location (We don’t want anything like google maps with geolocation, just the ability to pick from about 12 regions).

I’ve searched for category plugins but can’t tell if any of them would do what we want. Any help finding a solution to our category needs will be appreciated.
