Question about WordPress xml importer with internal links

Hello, I have a question about mass importing some posts with WP XML importer that contains some internal links.

Let’s get the scenario: I’m trying to import 50 posts (each contains 3 internal links to existing pages A,B and C) plus one page that contains all links to the permalinks of that 50 posts (kind of a “sitemap”).

These posts have been generated with an external tool (so not a previous wp installation), and the links are written with the classic “< a >” tag with a full URL to the page.

Everything works fine, I can import the posts, links are working both in the posts and the sitemap.

Now the question. Let’s suppose I change the permalinks of pages A B and C : the links in the 50 posts are not updating, still pointing at the old URLs.
Same thing happens if I change permalink of one of the 50 posts, the URL into the “sitemap” is not updating.

I suppose that this happens because WP importer loads the pages but does not store any new record in the links DB table.

Is there any way to achieve this result and let that links update automatically like any other link written with the wp editor?

Prep time does not go below 30 minutes

A value of 29 or less under ‘prep time’ does not take affect on the pick-time-slot drop down. This issue is not unique to my website.

Browser caching has stopped working

Dear Emre

I’m still waiting for the clarification on my query for the topic of clearing cache after theme or plugin update setting but it seems the plugin has stopped working for me.

I did a GT Metrix test on my website and not only has the speed come down but the Leverage Browser Caching element for which I use the plugin is showing a F Grade.

Please advise what I need to do.

I’m a long time user of this plugin and have even left a 5 star review in the past so I know you’ll help me out.

How to get the pagination to show on category index pages

Hi

I am trying to use this plug in to replace ‘older posts’ and ‘newer posts’ on a couple of sites, both using the same theme – namely Great Mag theme by athemes.

I can see that for a flickering instant it’s trying to work, though in the wrong pace, but then it’s disappeared an older and newer are there still.

Is there anything I can do – prefereably using php snippets and css?

The plugin works fantastic, great way to see all of your macro level stats in a consolidated UI.

Woocommerce Email on Category Buy

Hi everyone!
I have just recently created a NL that should be sent, when items of a special category are bought.
On test it seemed to be working just fine. As soon as a transaction was closed (on payment or manually in the backend) the email was sent.
Now after 3 weeks I found out, that only a fraction of buyers got the email sent, even if they had purchased from said category. I cannot find a logic in who got the email and who did not.

Have I overlooked a condition or misunderstood the whole concept?
I appreciate any nudge into the right direction. Thanks.

ps: to make you smile (as asked for) – my white dog has no undercoat, so when it rains his pink skin shines through. I named him Floyd…. 😉

Zip Import for pages

I am new to managing my own WordPress site. I’ve had other people manage it and help build pages in prior years. I have a few .zip files that were created from landing pages. I’m wondering if there is a way for me to import them into my new website so I an see if they are worth reusing.

When I open the zip file, there is a PHP file, an image file, and a folder of images.

I hope this is enough to go on. Please let me know if you have any suggestions or need more information.

This is 10Web’s plugin to link and manage websites with their dashboard.

The plugin is easy to use; simply install, activate, and connect to your 10Web account.
I believe it even has the option of white labeling it through the 10Web dashboard.

My experience with 10Web has been a good one, support has solved issues when they’ve come up but overall what I’m really impressed with is the speed of my sites hosted with them.

Email display is too large on mobile phone

Hello

I have a problem with the Woocommerce “Completed Order” and “New Order” emails.

On the desktop, everything is perfect.

However, on the mobile, the email is too large and I can’t see the complete content.

Here is a screenshot that shows the difference between Desktop and Mobile display:
