Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.

I have a site at GoDaddy using WordPress 4.6.1 and Wordfence 6.2.5. It was working perfectly until they migrated the hosting to a new server. After migration the site and the admin would not come up displaying only a white screen with no HTML.

I disabled the Wordfence plugin and everything returned to normal. I downloaded and installed a fresh copy of Wordfence in case a component had been dropped or corrupted.

But every time I attempt to activate Wordfence I get the following error,

“Plugin could not be activated because it triggered a fatal error.”

Server Details
– Operating System WINDOWS (We normally prefer a linux host but in this case we are stuck with Windows IIS for now; may move later.)
– PHP Version 5.3
– IIS Version IIS 7.0
– .NET Version ASP.Net 2.0/3.0/3.5

Any ideas as to what might be wrong or how to further troubleshoot this? Thanks in advance for any assistance!
