Hi guys,
I’m hoping to get some help with NextGen Gallery. A few days ago I realised that the slideshow on my home page (www.taralemana.com) had disappeared, leaving just the text. When I went in to try and figure out what had happened, the slideshow still showed in the post, but when I tried to edit it (I figured I may be able to get it to register by changing to a different gallery format – eg mosaic instead of Pro Slideshow -, saving, then changing back and saving again), I found none of the other options worked, other than Basic Imagebrowser and Mosaic. If I changed to anything else, it simply wouldn’t show up in the post.
I figured it might be an issue with the outdated version of NGG or WP I was using so I updated both, and my other plugins, thinking that might fix it. Instead, it made it worse, because now when I try to make changes to the gallery from within the post, I can’t save – nothing happens when I press the save changes button. No loading, no error, nothing, it’s like I never clicked at all. I can’t insert a new gallery either – nothing happens when I click “insert displayed gallery”.
Currently, what’s supposed to be a slideshow on my homepage is a cumbersome Basic Imagebrowser which, rather than switching to the next image when you click on the navigation buttons within the imagebrowser, refreshes the entire page, taking 10-15 seconds every time. I can’t imagine any visitors to my site will stand for that for more than one or two images before getting annoyed and navigating away – please help me fix it.
Thanks so much!
Tara
